Outdoor advertising – ITS EFFECT IN PRACTICE

Four out of ten passersby (39%) have noticed an outdoor advertisement that directs them to a nearby store, restaurant or other type of business in the area, 20% of all passersby have visited the location following the directions of the advertisement, and 74% of them have made a purchase.

In the study on the basis of which we prepared this infographic, three separate stores in one area were observed, but at different distances from an outdoor advertisement placed, directing them to the nearest one. The conclusion confirms something we already intuitively know – an advertisement placed near the advertised object influences both planned and spontaneous purchases.
